WHAT:
Art IS Smart: Summer Sessions are creative opportunities for kids and youth express themselves in a safe place. We planned activities to support visual arts, literary arts, media arts, performing arts, and culinary arts. Students will experience . . .
- Visual Arts: Coloring, Painting, Vision-boarding
- Literary Arts: Journaling, Portfolios, Storytelling
- Performing Arts: Music Appreciation, Playacting
- Media Arts: Photography, Podcasting
- Culinary Art: Food Preparation, Nutrition
During each session, scholars will receive a light meal and snacks. This program starts in Summer 2026 and may grow into the other 3 seasons.
NOTE: Art IS Smart! Summer Sessions is a component of our educational initiative (Garden of UTOPIA) so it's proprietary only to UTOPIA, LLC.
WHO:
These sessions are great for kids age 5 to 8 and youth age 9 to 12, who have creative aspirations and talents.
Your creative scholars receive instruction from a Professional Teacher (Ms. Pam) and an Executive Chef (Will).
WHY:
Our young people require real opportunities for self-expression to maintain balanced wellness.
The goal of our organization is to nurture every dimension of wellness -- emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual.
WHEN:
TIMEFRAME >> June 22 through August 21, 2026
OPTION 1: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays (OR)
OPTION 2: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
TIME PERIOD >> Daytime Hours
OPTION A: 10am to 2pm (OR)
OPTION B: 12pm to 4pm
HOW:
During the 4-hour sessions, your creative scholars will work on activities and projects meant to extract and accentuate their talents. Plus, they will gain life skills to help see them through challenges.
Our Christian organization uses an ecumenical approach to coaching and instructing students. It means we promote cooperation, inclusiveness, and unity.
WHERE:
Our team is currently exploring budget-friendly rental spaces, to host our Summer Sessions. Ideally, these activities will occur in Essex or Union County within libraries or churches.
Rental costs plus costs of supplies will determine the student fee. We're working to offer you an effective, affordable opportunity. STAY TUNED!
